Wizardry… I loved that game… but where did it go?

Years ago I was introduced to “Bain of the Cosmic Forge”. What I think was the 5th installment in the Wizardry series.  I truely loved it, I remember playing it with my dad.  The whole family whatching on out little Tandy 1000.  I remember my shaking in fear when the Pirates would come in the screen.  It was a time I will always remember.  I eventually got Wizardry 7 and loved it as well.  Even today I play it in my Dos Box in linux.

But where did it go from there?  Well, they went to 3d and people loved it.  I never played it.  But eventually sit-tech went under and we sadly saw David W. Bradley fall off the map as well.

Mr. Bradley, will you help use bring this game back to it’s glory days with a little flair?

Are there others that believe this game still has a lot of life left in it?

If you guys think so, please show your support.  I would love to get this game running in an online version.

In particular I want to use the features of the web to make this game even more fun.  A mix between a graphical MUD and Wizardry.  Something that is an ever expanding product that can be a light project for everyone.  I have hosting space for something of this magnitude.  I have the skills for the framework and engine.

HTML, Javascript, Python, web2py

But I would need help with things like…

Story line, Avatars, scenery, game balancing, weapons, etc…

If your an artist wanting to get their name out and would like to contribute to this massive idea and fun I think we should get in touch.

I have some mockups I have been working on for the game and we could post ideas here in the comments about what we could do next to make this happen.
